On November 16th, the first Pastel Wasteland Film Festival will be held at the iconic No. 6 Cinema in Portsmouth. The day will include screenings of horror and sci-fi short films, and an award ceremony celebrating the talent and commitment of the creators involved.
It will also see the premiere of I Am An Addict – a horror anthology produced by Pastel Wasteland, and featuring a roster of talented film-makers from around the world. These include Michael J Epstein, whose feature film Clickbait is screening at genre festivals worldwide, and Adam Nelson, known for the award-winning Emotional Motor Unit. Additionally, directors Harry Bartholomew, Sam Mason-Bell, and Rob Ulitski worked on the anthology film Maniacal. The former two directors also collaborated on Artsploitation Films’ A Taste of Phobia.
The Pastel Wasteland Film Festival is a living, breathing testament to our commitment to support independent creators from around the world. And it’s only a glimpse of the many, many exciting things to come.
The PWFF has received an enormous amount of support from our friends and sponsors over at PromoteHorror.com. They’ve worked tirelessly to help publicise it, and it’s almost impossible for us to express our gratitude. But I’m going to try.
PromoteHorror.com does what it says on the tin. Like us, they care about community. They want to bring fans and creators together. And like us, they want to inspire collaboration and provide support for film-makers, artists, authors, conventions, podcasts, and charities.
They have given shoutouts to other sites including Fear Not Fear, TrueHorror.net and The Bold Mom. It only seems right that we give a shoutout to them and Promotehorror themselves. Audiences, creators and sites like ours are one community.
Pastel Wasteland is growing and evolving. We’re ambitious and with so many irons in the fire, it’s so reassuring to know we have friends like Promotehorror.com. Massive thanks to them, and an even bigger thanks to every one of you who’s on this journey with us.
Tickets for the Pastel Wasteland Film Festival can be purchased from the No. 6 Cinema website.
