I’ll be honest, I struggle with instrumental music sometimes when it doesn’t have the right amount of depth or is a little too far on the minimalist side. I have no such issues with The Kaleido Sound Project’s ‘Retune’, coming in from Italy.
Lead by a plucky electric guitar, the soundscapes are rich and effective, and ultimately transformative. The various elements really create a journey, with inspirations from heavy metal to pop, all packaged into something unique and unexpected.
