Subcon – ‘Monster in the Closet’ [Rap Metal]

By robulitski @robulitski · On April 1, 2020

Cracked whispers and a frenetic rap introduce this high-energy track from US rap-metal artist Subcon (aka Brandon Ingram).

Paying homage to artists such as Linkin Park and A Day To Remember, the song perfectly balances the rap, metal and commercial elements, never veering too far into any of the genres, instead choosing to remain accessible to a wider range of listeners.

Ingram has a fiery vocal with impressive range, and his quickfire rap punctuates the instrumental to great effect.

Definitely check this out.
