High-energy riffs and ecstatic electronic samples introduce the frenetic ‘Marble’, from Japanese artist Kaede Higuchi.
I’ll be honest, I don’t understand a word of Japanese, but that most certainly isn’t going to stop me from trying to rock along to this.
Endearing vocals are set against hyperactive guitar solos, and just about every instrument you could imagine. What could have been a very messy affair is actually near perfect, and far more polished than you’d expect from the first few seconds. Perfectly suited for the screen, I could see this on a drama show or anime, it has very cinematic qualities to it.
This is a huge success, and I can’t wait for Higuchi to totally blow my mind again in the future.
