On their SoundCloud page, American indietronica musician B. Miles describes themselves as a “A dark energizer bunny confused with its place in the world.” Now I’m sorry, but that’s one of the best bios I’ve seen.
I can’t confirm any details about the bunny part. And if B. Miles feels confused about their place in the world, then at least they shouldn’t about their worth as a musician.
This is because latest single “Worst Enemy” is an incredibly strong piece. There’s so much texture to this track. So many little hooks and ideas. Striking chords, inspired effects, and a great drop into some penetrating beats and a killer bassline. Miles’ voice is alluring and tinged with an affective strain of darkness.
“Worst Enemy” is a great way to spend four minutes. I’m really excited to see where they go from here.
